There are several places you can look for articles or dissertations within the library. You will want to choose a specific database depending on the type of material you are searching for. Additionally, it's important to remember that the terms 'attractional church' or 'missional church' are not common terms in research. Below are some recommended search terms you can use to look for sources on this topic.
To find Articles:
- Start on the liberty.edu/library
- Click on the Religion option in the dark blue box on the right side. This will take you to a list of available religion databases.
- Scroll down and select the database you want to use. Atla Religion Database is the recommended one to start with.
- Once inside the database, you can enter search terms to look for articles. It is best to break your topic down into a few keywords. You can search "Attractional Church" or "Missional Church," but you will also want to try terms like "Seeker-Friendly," "Seeker-sensitive," or "Church Missions." These search terms should pull up articles similar to the attractional and missional church models.
To find Dissertations:
- Start on the liberty.edu/library
- Click on the light blue Browse All Databases button in the dark blue box on the right side of the page.
- Click on the Search Here option at the top and type in "Dissertations." Once you've typed that, click on the dark blue Search button on the right.
- Scroll down and click on ProQuest Dissertations and Theses Global, ProQuest Dissertations and Theses @ Liberty University, or Scholars Crossing. These are some of the best databases for finding dissertations.
- Once inside the database, you can enter search terms to look for articles. You can use the same search terms that were recommended for finding articles.
