Students should not have to create a library account. If you begin on the main library page, https://www.liberty.edu/library/, you should see the Sign In option to the top right. Click it and enter the username and password you use to sign into your Liberty Account. Once you have signed in, you should see your name in the top right. This ensures you have access to our resources.

However, if you are prompted to sign in with your email and password, please know that this is only for residential students who are requesting physical books in the library. Online students would not have immediate access to these items; however, online students can request any available physical books through our InterLibrary Loan service by creating an account, separate from your Liberty account. Once you create your InterLibrary Loan account, you will be able to request physical books and those will be mailed to you.

If you are trying to access electronic books, you will want to go to the Find Resources search bar on the main library page, select the Books tab above the search bar, unselect Print and Audiobook, type in your search terms, and click Search.

If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to us at (434) 582-2220 or at research@liberty.edu.
