To locate sources on your topic, I would suggest using counseling and religion-related databases. Please follow the steps below to access resources on your topic.

  1. Navigate to the main library website at https://www.liberty.edu/library/.
  2. To the right, under Databases by Subject select Browse All Databases.
  3. On the A-Z Databases page, select the letter P.
  4. In the list that comes up, select the link to Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection (EBSCO).
  5. Once you have opened up the database, select the Choose Databases link near the top-left of the page.
  6. On the list of databases that appears, select the following: ATLA Religion Database with ATLASerials PLUS, Christian Periodical Index, Religion and Philosophy Collection, and Psychology and Behavioral Sciences Collection.
  7. Then select Ok.
  8. Use the different search bars in the top left section. Try a search for assessing spirit* on the first line (Note: do not add quotations around assessing spirit, but please add an asterisk after "spirit."). On the second line, next to AND, type in counsel* (Note:  do not add quotations around counsel, but please add an asterisk after "counsel."). So your search should look like this: assessing spirit* AND counsel*.
  9. Then click Search.
  10. When the results come up, look on the left under Limit To and select Full Text.
  11. To read articles, select PDF Full Text.
