The library catalog is a great search engine that is generally used for finding books in the main stacks of the library and electronic books (e-books). One of the services offered to online students is the ability to check physical books out. The Library then ships requested books to online students. However, if online students locate material that they want to check out from our library, they will first need to create an interlibrary loan account.

To create an interlibrary loan account, complete the below instructions:

  1. First, go to the library’s main page.
  2. To the top right select the Services drop-down menu and select InterLibrary Loan.
  3. Once the page loads, look on the left-hand side for a box that says Log in to ILLiad. (Note: First-time users will be asked to create an account. Fill out the form and proceed to the next step)
  4. Once you have logged in, on the left side of the next page, you should see New Request.
  5. Under New Request, click on Book.
  6. Fill out the information about the article you wish to read and click Submit Request.
