Since you are an online student and going through the process of ordering some physical books (borrowing books), you will first need to create an Interlibrary Loan account. I have included steps on how you would complete the process in the below section.

  1. Navigate to the main library website at http://www.liberty.edu/library/.
  2. Once the above link is selected, look to the top of the page and select Services.
  3. On the Services drop-down menu, select Interlibrary Loan.
  4. When the next page loads, look on the left and you should see a box that says Log in to ILLiad.
  5. The log in will be your Liberty University credentials. First-time users will be asked to complete profile information. Fill out the form and proceed to the next step.
  6. Once you have logged in to your account, look at the top and select Submit New Requests and select Book or Article.
  7. If you experience any issues or have any questions, you can contact the InterLibrary Loan office at 434-582-2442 or illoan@liberty.edu.

If you are looking specifically to order textbooks for a class, please refer to the Online Bookstore available through this link here: https://bookstore.mbsdirect.net/vbm/liberty.htm

If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out to us at (434) 582-2220 or at research@liberty.edu.
