There a number of ways to research this topic. However, remember that it is possible that a very new product may not have much published about it just yet. Here are some good places to start:

Business Source Complete is an excellent database for a variety of general business topics.

  1. Go to the Business Research Guide in the library.
  2. In the center column, under the heading Databases, you will see a database entitled Business Source Complete. Click on this.
  3. Once in the database, in the top left corner, type in your search term for the product or company you want to search. Then, search. Or you could choose the option in the top middle labeled Company Information to search for information on your company.

Business Insights: Global is an excellent database for finding information on industries and/or specific company profiles:

  1. Go to the Business Research Guide in the library.
  2. If you select the Companies & Industries tab at the top. In the center column, under the heading Databases, you will see a database entitled Business Insights: Global. Click on this.
  3. Once in the database, the main search bar on the page can be used to search for specific corporations or industries.

You can also find the databases Mergent Online, Marketline, and Capital IQ NetAdvantage (Formerly S&P), all on the Business Research Guide, and all of which are useful in finding out company information.
