There are a number of ways to research this topic. However, remember that it is possible that a very new product may not have much published about it just yet. Here are some good places to start:

Business Source Ultimate is an excellent database for a variety of general business topics.

  1. Navigate to the main library website at https://www.liberty.edu/library/.
  2. To the right, in the blue box, under Popular Databases select Browse All Databases.
  3. On the A-Z Databases page, select the letter B.
  4. In the list that comes up select the link to Business Source Ultimate.
  5. Once in the database, in the top left corner, type in your search term for the product or company you want to search. Then, search. Or you could choose the option in the top middle labeled Company Information to search for information on your company.

Gale Business Insights is an excellent database for finding information on industries and/or specific company profiles:

  1. Navigate to the main library website at https://www.liberty.edu/library/.
  2. To the right, under Databases by Subject select Browse All Databases.
  3. On the A-Z Databases page, select the letter G.
  4. In the list that comes up select the link to Gale Business Insights.
  5. Once in the database, the main search bar on the page can be used to search for specific corporations or industries.

You can also find the databases Mergent Online, GlobalData Explorer, and Capital IQ NetAdvantage (Formerly S&P), all on the Business Databases Page, and all of which are useful in finding out company information.
